Since forming in 2017, London 3-piece Plain Sails have exploded on to the live circuit with their powerful and emotive brand of alternative rock. The deeply personal subject matter and cutting lyrics are balanced beautifully with piercing melodies and soaring, relentless moments in an energetic yet touching sound.
Strong radio support has continued throughout 2019 propelling them to over 30,000 streams across 53 countries. Releases “Made of Glass”, “Scars” and “When the Firing Stops//When the War Is Won” have garnered plaudits and airplay from the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Soho Radio and numerous regional, national, US and Canadian stations, with “Scars” announced as Indie Rocks! Radio track of the month for May.
After launching with their first show headlining The Camden Assembly, the band have gathered fierce momentum playing venues across London and embarking on shows throughout the UK. These include The O2 Academy Islington, Nambucca, The Dome, Thousand Islands, The Camden Monarch, The Old Blue Last, Jimmy’s MCR and headline events at Notting Hill Arts Club and The Water Rats. Their rapid rise has culminated in a headline slot at Camden Rocks festival and this year playing main support to Toploader and supporting The VirginMarys and Razz on their UK tours.
